Statement/Reflection
My digital story in all reality was really difficult to make. I thought at first it would be easy but then I found myself recording over and over again. I could picture in my head how I wanted to do it but I couldn’t deliver and kept starting over and over. It took me about a couple hours to record about a 1:50 of narration. The reason I talked about how I played sports and why I quit was to show the background on what happened and how difficult it was to return to the thing I love to do. I appreciated all the feedback I got from my classmates and especially my teacher and now know how I could improved my digital story.

My challenge wasn't the easiest per say. I chose my 30 day challenge of getting back to shape because back then I felt energized and motivated to do stuff. Now I sometimes get to lazy to even do my homework. About halfway through my challenge I got really sick for a week and when that was over I gave up completely on my challenge since there was only about 5 days left. Building my portfolio and watching it come together I was proud of myself because slowly every week I would see how I felt and acted on different days. I found myself enjoying writing about what I did for the day and in the near future I plan to do another 30 day challenge and be successful at it.

Blog 6 The End

This is the end of blogging for me. Through this horribly failed 30 day challenge of mine I have actually learned a lot. I learned that if you organize your time, you have a higher chance of completing the 30 day challenge. Also you need to make time and not make excuses because that gets you into a bad habit of not getting anything done. The most important thing that I thought influenced if you were successful in completing your 30 day challenge was the people you surround yourself with. If you surround yourself with people who motivate you then it will give you that energy to keep grinding out your challenge as if you surround yourself with people that don't motivate you or that don't acknowledge what you're doing then it can kill your whole mindset of trying to stay motivated. In the near future when I attempt to take on another 30 day challenge, I know what to look for and what to avoid. I also have an idea on how I can successfully complete a 30 day challenge. I might even blog again if I do another challenge so I can look back at these six blogs and prove myself wrong.

Blog 5 Aftermath

I will admit, I am kind of disappointed that I didn't complete my 30 day challenge. I just felt like it wasn't the right time to do it. But like I said in my last blog, there's no excuses. The only thing I need to do is plan for another 30 day challenge but make time for it. Maybe if I organize my schedule on a calendar that would be more helpful. That way I know what to look forward to the next day and have a hour to hour agenda. Usually I'm the type of person that just goes with the flow of the day and don't really plan unless if I have major event to go to. To be honest I think that's a bad habit because being organized makes people seem more professional and have to probably worry less about things. Such as, if they have something planned they will 100% take care of it compared to a person who goes with the flow they might end up doing something else that isn't as important but decided not to. Hopefully I will start and complete another 30 day challenge before the year is over, I still have about two months to complete one. Maybe it can get me in a better position to start the new year.

Day 30, Blog 4 30 day challenge officially over

The 30-day challenge is officially over. What can I say, I thought it was going to be easy and I was going to be able to actually go to the gym everyday for the 30 days. Maybe I should have read how to overcome challenges when I started to lose motivation. After the week I was sick, is when I lost complete motivation to get back into the gym. I guess you could say, and I hate to say this but I failed at my 30 day challenge. It takes a lot for someone to be committed and have to plan the time out of your day to a 30 day challenge depending on what you're doing. For me it was hard trying to make the time because of the responsibilities I have at home. Either way there should be no excuses, I could have planned the 30 day challenge around my schedule without any issues.  Even though the 30 day challenge is over doesn't mean I won't give up on my challenge I just need to find that motivation and organize my time. Hopefully in the near future I can try again. I recommend watching this TED talk video on how to break a bad habit. I can relate to this because I need to get out of the bad habits I have of procrastinating.

Day 16, Blog 3 First Roadblock

October 12, 2016
I have officially hit my first roadblock. 16 days in and I got sick. Just my luck. Yesterday I couldn't even eat or drink anything because of my sore throat. That is the worst thing I hate having. A sore throat. I usually don't get sick but when I do, all hell breaks loose. I stay in bed, drink fluids, mainly tea, and just wish it goes away by the next day. My mom is the one that tries to take care of me like if I was still a baby. I guess I don't mind it because if it was up to me I wouldn't take any medicine because who likes taking Tylenol or Robitussin? Or I would be too lazy to make myself a tea. Hopefully by Friday I am 100% again.

Day 14, Blog 2 Doing Better

October 10th, 2016
Just got home from a training session at the gym and let me say, I'm feeling pretty good, I am doing better except for the fact that I'm struggling to eat better. Even though I cut back a little on eating out, I still eat junk food thats around the house. I know for a fact if somehow all the junk food gets out of the house I will get accustomed to eating healthier. For some reason, there are two things that have kept me going and helping me not give up halfway through this challenge is first my intro essay. I go back and reread it so it can give me more motivation to keep grinding. The second thing was today in class listening to all my classmates share out loud how successful they've been so far with their challenge. Well hopefully I stay on track and keep pushing to become a better me.
