Back in Form
I used to be involved in four sports throughout high school until I dislocated my knee two times and gave up on all physical activity. Once I started working and got towards the end of my high school life, I started to lose control of certain things. For example, for I let myself go physically because I was more worried about working and studying that I couldn’t find time to go the gym. Also I suffered injuries several times that I just give up on getting back to form and left all the sports or physical activities I was doing at the time. I have decided to do the 30 day workout challenge because I want to go back to the old me.
Growing up I have always been involved in sports. I played four sports: football, basketball, baseball, and tennis, the main one being baseball. I stopped playing football my freshman year of high school because of a concussion I received and my parents didn't let me continue to play. My senior year is when everything fell apart. I didn't play any sports and I did not do any physical activities as well. Here is why, my summer going into senior year I was at baseball practice like any ordinary day. When I went to go catch a pop fly, back pedaling and doing a 180 degree turn, I planted my right foot and my cleats got caught in the the grass and, POP! I felt like a mob of people just started beating my knee with hammers. Keep in mind I have never broken or dislocated a bone in my entire life, so I have never experienced this before.
I was put in a knee brace stabilizer for two months which caused me to miss the whole fall tennis season and the whole fall baseball season. I also had to miss my winter basketball season because when I got out of the brace I had to go to physical therapy to get strength in my knee again and that took me three months. By January of my senior year, I was set to get back to playing and was cleared by the doctor as well. While I was at an indoor training getting ready for the spring season of baseball, I kneeled down to field a ground ball and twisted my right knee in and once again my knee decided to blow out on me. All I could think about at the moment was all that hard work I went through, all the difficult physical training sessions went to waste. After it happened for the second time, I was put in a brace and I attended physical therapy sessions once again but not as intense so I had no rush to getting back to playing sports.
For my 30 day challenge, I am going to follow a workout from muscleandfitness.com that is going to help me build muscle and burn fat,
(http://www.muscleandfitness.com/muscle-fitness-hers/hers-workouts/build-muscle-and-burn-fat-30-days?page=3). The goal of this is to help me get back to the active person I was a year ago. In the past year I have become lazy, sluggish, and I don’t do anymore outdoor activities. Every now and then I will go play basketball but that is as much of excercise that I do. Another major key to successfully completing my 30 day challenge is going to be what I put in my body during the 30 days.
After 30 days I plan to successfully complete the challenge and be a more active person as

well. The first few days or even week is going to be difficult but once I get it over with I know I will

be able to complete it. I am really excited to complete this challenge as well because I know it is

going to benefit me personally in the long run as long as I keep doing it even after the 30 days. Few

things that I will gain from this challenge I think, would be, being able to do more outdoor activities

such as hiking. Another will be that I won't feel tired and lazy all the time and will be able to be more

active around my friends. The part that I am more excited about is going to be the blog posts and all

the progress I record. I feel like that is what is going to motivate me to successfully complete my 30

day challenge.
